Desert Angel is the first single from the album
Beauty In Aggression. Incidentally, this was the last song to be written. The tune was written shortly before departing for California, and the melody and lyrics were actually written during the album sessions.
The title and inspiration for the song came from the unlikeliest of sources, from an Inuit woman living in Weed, California and working at the recording studio. During the drive from San Francisco to Weed, she talked about how she is also an artist, and that among other projects she creates "desert angels"; small statues or figurines with wings, filled with sand from the desert. This proved to be the inspiration needed for a great song, which also turned out to be the first single from the new album.
